How do I perform boundaries between new and old as I move along them? This is an image from a Black Friday performance drive I took along the road whose various nomenclature eras – Union Ave, MLK Blvd, McLoughlin Blvd – seek to remind us of historical figures who continue to structure  contemporary – even daily – migrations. By following 99E from Metro to the Urban Growth Boundary, I meditated on my role within the relationships formed by/along the boundaries between what and who is new or old, both today and in the past.
